We never look at each other anymore.

We get so distracted by the everyday

that we don't look at each other.

But I saw you today.

I saw the light that shines around your face,

the life in your eyes when you speak.

I saw the softness of your mouth

and the curve of your chin.

But my heart leaped in my chest

when you smiled at me.

And I remembered why I fell in love with you in the first place.
